Okay you see that little poll over -------> there?
What you need to do is click on the name that says Dorian okay? Please?
You see it's like this:
If you love your Goblin leader and main blogger you'll vote for Dorian.
If you're a bigger fan of the newb HFS (and seriously why would you be? I'm the more lovable one.) Then you'll vote for her name Phileas.
So really? Which one is the better vote?

TIME FOR YOUR SCHEDUALED YOUTUBE BREAK
So recent;y I have watched the BBC version of the play Hamlet with David Tennant and Patrick Stewart. I WAS AMAZING YOU NEED TO WATCH IT.
Nothing much else going on right now. But I figured you people could use a break after dealing with HFS for a while there.

What is Wrong With This Fandom?
Cumberbitches. There I typed it. The newest fandom I am aware of. Keep your Sherlockians, your Trekkies, your Whovians, your Rebels. Women of today are Cumberbitches.
Come. On. You have got to be kidding me. Cumberbitches? Really? ANYONE could have come up with something better. ANYONE.
Okay I found a quote on this matter:
This has to be better.

P.S. I found a swell name online 'Benaddicts'! It's great!

Okay I found a quote on this matter:
"Do any of those words make sense to you? They might, if you’re among the almost 37,000 members of “the most glorious and elusive society for the appreciation of the high cheekboned, blue eyed sexbomb that is Benedict Timothy Carlton Cumberbatch,”This quote was in an article I read on the matter. Now I love Cumberbatch. I really do. He's right up there in my adoration spectrum I just don't fawn over him around people. Just in private while I re-watch 'A Study in Pink' for the gazillionth time. But nonetheless I could have come up with a better fandom name. Which is why HFS and I have decided to start the 'I am Sherlocked' revolution. Starting now we are on a mission to eradicate the word 'Cumberbitch' from the Earth, (hey we're ambitious.) So today ladies of the highly esteemed Goblin High Court. When you go out today or go onto twitter. Don't identify as a 'Cumberbitch' instead say 'I am Sherlocked' because that HAS to be beter somehow. (Tweeting it works too.)
This has to be better.

This Post Specially Dedicated To...
HFS, because when I sent these through e-mail the disintegrated into numbers and letters. These were what I was sending to you. (It was late, 3 A.M., and I was bored.)
Like I said in 'Blech' I had entirely too much time on my hands. And well..... you like Merlin.

P.S. HFS, I'll give you lessons soon.

This is what happens when you have entirely too much time on your hands, the internet at your disposal, and you're trying to figure out how the heck some of the search terms even lead to your blog:
25 Things That Prove Benedict Cumberbatch is the Perfect Man I agree with a few....
My Happy Sewing Place It's a vintage sewing blog. I love it.
Cute Knitting Patterns I enjoy knitting occasionally, but HFS enjoys it a lot more.
I Write Like A text analyzer. Write something into it and it tell you what famous writer you're most like. (I got J.D. Salinger.)
I might not not post for a bit, I've given you about a weeks worth of posts in two days or so.

High Functioning Sociopath (HFS)
So you people are probably wondering who HFS is. Well she's a friend of mine who was originally gonna get the very cool name Baroness von Fulkerson but nooooooo. She (okay there is a kinda sorta reason I said 'yes' too) She just had to be 'High Functioning Sociopath'. And because it's a pain to type HFS is the abbreviated term.
Behind The Name
Sherlock. She got me into the show and in episode one of the first series "A Study in Pink" Anderson is corrected by Sherlock that he's not a psychopath but a 'High functioning sociopath.' (Do your research!) And well, for some other odd reasons she and I decided that her being HFS is pretty okay. (But I'll be damned is Baroness wouldn't be more fitting and cooler).
This also gives her an excuse to refer to me as 'Freaking watson Junior' which is a very long story in which I'll not tell you any right now. But if I get people in the comments besides her calling me that there will be hell to pay.

A Bit of This and That.
So some Monday random.
*Sherlock, I'd like to correct my friend who in comments is the 'High Functioning Sociopath' We have TWO episodes to go in Sherlock. 2.
*I would be posting my vacation pics but alas I've lost the effing camera to computer cord and I'm really F***ing annoyed!!!
* 'High Functioning Sociopath' (who would otherwise have an awesome name if she/I hadn't insisted on that name. I might abbreviate to HFS.) Would like me to comment on the show Merlin. A newer telling of the Legend of King Arthur. I do enjoy the show more than I had thought I would. It's actually really nice. (Fan fics, Can't you just see them? *cough cough* Inside joke for HFS.) ;) HOWEVER, nylon shirts, skimpy tops, Morgana's halter top, chain mail, armor, a NON-FRENCH Lancelot du Lac, the color red EVERYWHERE, polyester blends, are just a FEW of the problems I have with the show, (had to mention the HFS. And you need to read the friggen Legend anyway SO YOU KNOW WHO MORDRED IS JEEZ! (The Mists of Avalon work too) just find out more of the original telling okay?)
*With HFS I've got four more episodes of Jane Eyre to go.
*I'll do a longer vacation post later.
*I went to look at the boats in Valdez and wanted to report some of the cooler named ones: The Dawn Treader, Shadowfax (bonus points if you can name where those names are from HFS, your answers don't count.) Merlin, Killin' Time, Enterprise, Infinite Grace, Morning Light, The Boat, Freedom Dancer, Knot Again, Wind Musher, My Boat, Jade Dolphin, The Half Cup, and English Maiden are just a few.
Haven't much more to say right now.
-MaggieG, Evil Goblin Overlady (and for future reference Freaking watson Junior in comments occasionally)

Sherlock: Review
I don't make it a habit to post on Sundays. I generally avoid this. I have virtually promised myself that the Sabbath would be a day to not worry about posting.... Oh well. I recently watched two new episodes of Sherlock and decided to write a review up for the two episodes.
The Blind Banker
In this episodes Sherlock has discovered a Chinese number system which is also being used as a cypher by a Chinese smuggler gang known as the Black Lotus.
The story starts with a woman who performs a ancient tea ritual for tourists. She later disappears without explanation. Sherlock is then called to a bank in which the symbols: 一 and 〥are painted in yellow spray paint on the walls of a dead man's office. They then go find the man who's office they were in. They find him dead, the new police detective thinks suicide but Sherlock, who's right, thinks it's murder. But they cannot figure out how he's getting in. All while this is going on John get's a job at a clinic. Where he finds himself attracted to the lovely doctor in charge. There are a few more murders and some black origami lotus blossoms left as a warning to victims. Sherlock almost dies, mostly from his fault. John ends up with a date with the pretty clinic doctor in which Sherlock gets them to go to a Chinese circus. They have a swell time until later when they think Watson is Sherlock and his date almost dies..... And I highly doubt she's going out with him again. The leader of the group escapes and much to Sherlock's chagrin.
The episode was intriguing and well paced. Hints of humor keep the tone. Not too much to note or anything. But don't worry I've got another episode. (I also haven't read the story that accompanies this one....)
A Scandal in Belgravia
Based on the Holmes story A Scandal in Bohemia Sherlock meets his match, The Woman.
Irene Adler is a dominatrix, and not just in her free time it's her job. There are, however compromising picture's of her and a female member of the royal family. Sherlock is to get these pictures from her and to Mycroft for safe keeping. He goes to her "Place of business" dressed as a priest. Little did he know he'd get in regardless of whether John hit him or not. He goes in only to have a naked Irene enter the room. As she's seducing him John walks in. (For some reason the thought of Leia kissing Han when C3PO walks in, in The Empire Strikes Back comes to mind.)But unlike everyone else Sherlock is unable to figure out anything about her. And is drawn by her intelligence. She dies leaving Sherlock despondent by it. In the end we find she was in connection to Moriarty, the "Consulting Criminal".
I disliked the portrayal of Irene Adler, once more this fell into the stereotype of women being forced to used their wiles to get information. While I have no complete problem with that, after all wiles can be a help occasionally (Gentleman Prefer Blondes, or Marylin in general). I just strongly disliked the idea that Irene Adler, who was incredibly intelligent and in this day and age, could have taken a well paying job, chose instead to basically sell herself as a living. Of course this was all by her choice and she owns her business independently but I still dislike it. This episode is actually pretty funny, I laughed a lot of the time. And the naked Irene only lasts for about fifteen minutes. I highly recommend this episode, I just dislike Irene's portrayal. But it's easy to see Sherlock's fascination with her. Her intelligence rivals his own making her attractive. But you sometimes have to wonder if it's just her brain he's attracted to.

Sherlock
So I've recently decided to try and watch the new Sherlock television programme. While I'm partial to Jeremy Brett
playing one of my favorite detectives. I've decided to give Benedict
Cumberbatch a try. I've so far made it only to 'A Study in Pink' (based
on the story A Study in Scarlet by Connan Doyle.) But the show
seems promising. It's certainly a modern and new twist but somethings
about written Sherlock still hold true. The drugs are there, violin
playing, Mrs. Hudson, Watson, and of course, 221b Baker St. However,
there are some twists to which the show is different and intriguing.
Watson, for example still records Sherlock's doings, but in the form of a blog.
Then there are some, well even stranger things that Sherlock does, there's the eyeballs in the microwave, bloody thumbs in the fridge, and the skull. Well throw in "High functioning sociopath." (as Cumberbatch put it.) and you've got the modern Sherlock.
Each series contains three 1 1/2 hour episodes. I'm trying out number two. The show also has elements of humor, making the show less serious and more of a family program. I shall keep you updated.

A Poll!: Data From TNG: Sentient or Not?
Okay there will be a poll on the right side of this site vote there. The question is Data, an android, created by Dr. Noonian Soong, who is unable to feel emotions, unable to dream, unable to understand humor, or even use conjunctions. Is considered a sentient being by Next Gen. standards. Now when I'm talking about Data I'm talking pre-movie Data, NOT when he gets the emotion chip.
Now there are two side to the argument I shall do both:
Sentient:
Q did give him the chance to experience laughter. He is aware of all around him and the fact he's not human. He knows and understands this. He is constantly in search of what makes people people. He even became despondent when Lal died. He is therefore sentient.
Not:
He is a machine, they do what we tell them to do. He is cold and can barely grasp the use of idioms, sayings, and humor. And while he can grasp that he isn't human that doesn't mean he IS sentient. He's only aware of his surroundings because he's a machine programmed to be like that. He is therefore not sentient.

Use the Force Lucas
I saw this post on Robbo's site:
-MaggieG, Evil Goblin Overlady
So it seems that the Disney Death Star may be tractoring Mark Hamill in to reprise his role as Luke Skywalker in the new series of Star Wars sequels. I can just see it:
Eh? Who was on the com link? Oh, it was just the kids again, calling from the Academy. How were they? Pah! Same as usual! Bitch, bitch, bitch! Moan, moan, moan! Gimme, gimme, gimme!
“The Next Hope.” “The New Generation.“ Feh! Why, if the Temple had been stocked with kids like that when Dad came to clean house that time, Yoda’d have held his coat and cheered him on! By the Great Will-Obeying Midi-Chlorians! I know I was a hay-seed dope when I was a kid, but these guys? If we’d had to rely on their type back then, Yavin would have a dust ring where our old base used to orbit! Hoth would be known as the central supply base for the Empire’s snow-cone monopoly! Hell, we’d still be wandering lost in the Endoran woods and all them damned Ewoks would be throw-rugs in the Emperor’s dacha!
Well, okay, I gotta admit that last part wouldn’t have been so bad….Still….Dang whippersnappers! Spoiled as garbage-masher bait and shifty as Jawas! In my day, I did three times the training they did..after milking a hundred tauntauns and marching thirty miles through the snow-covered swamps of Dagobah! Uphill! Both ways! But just listen to ‘em!
“Daddy, the reason I’m failing Force 201 is because my Jedi Master won’t let me express myself!”
”Dad, could you send me some more credits? Like real soon? You see, my ‘friend’ Jabba, Jr., needs them – it has to do with this dead cert for the 3:00 speeder race that kinda came unstuck……“
”Dad, what did Aunt Leia do with that slave girl costume, again?” (‘History project’ my bionic hand!)
By Chewie’s Beard! I tell ya, it’s like their collective ego is one giant black hole, sucking everything else in the galaxy right into it! And where does it get us? Are we turning out model Jedi? Hell, no! Of course not! Hit the side of a planet with a Death Star ray? Why, they couldn’t hit their own asses with both hands and a light-saber! If the ghost of Jar-Jar Binks came back at the head of an army of teletubbies and smurfs, he’d clean the Republic’s clock in less than a week! And good riddance, I says!
May the Great Unspecified, Vaguely-Deistic Maker help us! I oughta get my lawyer on the com RIGHT NOW and change my will to give everything to that home for displaced Sand People! In fact, I think I’ll do just that…….
First off, same here. But! and this is huge to me. JJ Abrams is directing it. Ever since he did the new Star Trek Movies I've boycotted anything he's done. He RUINED Star Trek for the new generation. I mean when you F*** up TOS! I've got problems with you!Uh, hey, wait….what’s going on out there! Gol-durn it, it’s them dang Boba-Fettlings messing around again! HEY, YOU KIDS! GIT OFF’N MY HYPERLAWN!I’d almost pay money to watch this.

Beware
1. When you were growing up (or now), who were your nerd heroes?
John and Hank Green, Dr. McCoy, Spock, Kirk, Q, Luke Skywalker, The Vision, The Scarlet Witch, Batman, Pre-Power Peter Parker, Dr. Strange, Cloak and Dagger, Douglas Adams, Nathan Fillian, Joss Whedon, Gene Rodenberry, The Doctor, the entire cast of Firefly, Neil Gaimen, Steve Moffat...
2. I just heard someone use the phrase, "I wish I could un-see that!" If you had the power to actually un-see any one thing, what would it be?
The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins sung by Leonard Nimoy
Now for your viewing pleasure:
3. Is there a city, state, or country you've never actually been to, but you always thought you really belonged there?
Yes, England
4. Let's say you inherited a wildly profitable sports franchise that your family has been running for 40 years. You could either stick around and run it yourself or sell it and pocket a huge chunk of money. (For our purposes, we'll say your personal share would be $750 million after taxes.) Would you continue running the family business or go enjoy your windfall?
Enjoy the windfall

I have discovered Firefly! It's great awesome. You guys should check it out. It's on netflix!

The endless cleaning of life. It seems that just as you clean anything there is a new mess to take care of. I had just cleaned the living room and then two days later TWO days it looks as if I had never cleaned it before in my life. I feel as if I have no control over my life sometimes as if I can't control anything. I wish I could be like Jeannie in I Dream Of Jeannie just blink and have it all done. I mean it would take max 2 minutes to have it all done. That would be like heaven on earth. But alas I don't have that power and will have to take at least an hour to clean up. But it's really worth it to sit down afterward with a cup of tea my needle work and Monk or a book and just enjoy how clean it is. I've got to go do that so I can enjoy the new year. And as I look out the window I notice the light of outside fading It's going to be night fall by four so I'd better go get that done.

A Couple of Videos
This is actually really a cool trick. Those who have seen the movie Labyrinth will appreciate this.

And I really HATE" Twilight"
Thanksgiving and Thankfulness.
Well yesterday I had Thanksgiving dinner with my mom, dad, brother, and my cousin of whom I've never met before. We had gone out to eat and we went to The Pump house because they have a buffet and it's just easier for all of us. We got our plates and sat down. Now, because my father isn't very religious we don't often say grace when we eat together. Plus he's of a different religion than my mom, brother, and me. So we started eating and my cousin just HAD to say that he's more elegant. Sure he made us say grace. I did not have the best Thanksgiving. I had to act much more prim and proper. I couldn't even have normal conversations. He then showed us pictures of his children. He complained about his almost "ex"-wife. And then he almost got fresh with the waitress just because he cleans her businesses rugs. He realized we were there and stopped himself.
A few more things to mention:
*He forgot my name
*He originaly wanted us to expand the number to ten people when WE were the ones who invited him.
*He drove his company truck there.
Okay so enough Bitching here's what I'm thankful for:
*My family
*Nerdfighteria
*Lynn for having a cool blog.
*Filly for being a kind person and getting me to knit.
*Eve for showing what it means to be different, religious, lesbian, cool, and okay.
*Uncle Don For being the coolest uncle.
*Gene Rodenberry for creating Star Trek
*My 7th Grade teacher for helping me embrace my Trekkie-ness.
*My Friends for being a group of awesome people
*For all the teachers in America
*And finally, The Human Spirit.
Please be happy this holiday season,

On Writing...
Ever noticed how hard it is to write even a short story? The art of grammar is one foreign to most well EVERYONE! Yes, even you Mr. Big-shot-published-author! Even YOU. I'm Currently writing a story, I'll probably create a new blog to share these stories. My latest story would nee you to under stand the story of Robert Browning and Elizabeth Barrett-Browning: during the Victorian era a girl named Elizabeth (affectionately know as Ba.) was the eldest of a family of twelve. With eleven sibling, eight brothers, three sisters. Her brother Edward died, she was devoted to him, she took it rather badly and became an invalid for about five years after that. Robert Browning read some of her poems and fell in love with her. After correspondance the eloped to Italywith the help of Wilson, the family maid.
My story takes place during this time but adds another character Florence Conway to help them elope.
enough about that, here are some tips I live by to write.
1. NEVER NEVER EVER confuse you're and your
2. Be careful of there, their, and they're
3. ALWAYS have someone check your work!
Even once you read this you'll probably find errors but you know WHAT IT'S A BLOG.
And a couple of thoughts, the answers to all your problems in 42 and, ever had a contact break in half IN YOUR EYE... I have....

I'm Back!
And, yes, I know I'm a crap blogger...
Your Overlady has been reading and gardening. I have decided to re-read Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert (whose name happens to be my middle and last name.) Because I read it before and never finished. Hell I didn't even get to India. But I loved what I read it's so meaningful and enlightening. Just a wonderful read. She is also reading 'Shadows of the Sun (A book about McCoy,) Sarek, The Help, and Spock's World.' She is also watching movies. which she shall now review.
Breakfast at Tiffany's-
An interesting movie staring Audry Hepburn and based on a novel by Truman Capote. Audry Hepburn play Holly a gold digger who is more interested in what's in a mans wallet that his head. And George Peppard who plays a 'kept' man who is also a struggling author. He meets Holly because and through the movie they fall in love. I thought the movie was strange but highly enjoyable. She even owns Moon River sung by Hepburn on itunes. The movie has a very happy ending. But Hepburn can play an infuriating character by being a gold digger.
Sabrina-
Another Hepburn movie. In this she plays Sabrina who is in love with a man named David but he doesn't love her back. She tries to kill herself but Lionel saves her and she goes to Paris and learns how to cook. She comes back and both of them fall in love with her. But David is engaged. She falls in love with Lionel but tries to fool herself and in the end they go to Paris together.
She has also been watching a lot of Red Dwarf
This July she has a lot planned. She is going to see Brave next Monday (Prepare for the review,) La Boheme done locally, and a wedding of her friends cousin.

I Don't Know...
I don't know what to call this post. This kind of has just a bit of everything in it (except Star Trek because I talked about it Saturday.) Oh, I forgot to mention SPOILER ALERT!!!
****
I didn't get to watch the series finally of House. So I bough it on itunes and finally had enough time to watch it yesterday. I knew he was hallucinating from the heat and smoke inhalation. I recognized the suicidal employee (it might have helped that they mentioned that he was the one who killed himself.) I also recognized Wilson's dead fiance. Sadly though, It took me 7 minuets to recognize Cuddy. I feel terrible. Seeing him die was kind of sad too, he was so close to getting out, then the board crashed on him and he died. The eulogy was nice especially when Wilson had his turn. It was nice because everybody was making House into somebody he wasn't. Then Wilson gets up there and he speaks the truth. House was an ass. I though it was cool how House texted him from the afterlife. And it was cool how he was there for Wilson for those last five months. Well as a spirit.
****
Just a bit on music. If you haven't heard of the band O-Zone it's okay. They are just a hugely popular Romanian group. Well... popular in Romania. I don't really understand what they're saying but it's pretty catchy music. not much to talk about but had to mention this.
